Are remanufactured turbos worth it?
For most late-model diesels, yes. A remanufactured unit is fully torn down, cleaned, rebuilt with new wear parts and balanced, and usually costs less than a new OEM turbo, especially with a core exchange.
Rebuilt vs remanufactured turbo: what is the difference?
A rebuild means we repair your own turbo and send the same unit back. A remanufactured turbo is a unit from our stock, built the same way, that ships right away in exchange for your old core. Both go through the same process.
How much does a diesel turbo replacement cost?
It depends on the engine, whether you want a rebuild or an exchange unit, and the condition of your core. Send the engine and the part number from the tag and we quote a firm price. Price ranges per engine
